Hi. I’m Chris Tarakson. I love electric guitars and the incredible sound they produce when connected to an amplifier. Like you, I fell in love with music. I started playing at 12 and we started a band at 16. By 17, when my amplifier started smoking, I decided to pursue Electrical Engineering so I could repair my Savage amp. Such is the mind of a teenage boy. That amp is still in my workshop.
After 20 years of touring Australia and internationally in the entertainment industry, I returned to my roots: working on guitar amps and guitars. I have always enjoyed tinkering and striving for the perfect sound. Today, I believe I own the best-sounding amps and guitars in the world!!! … to my taste. I have had the honour of working on the amplifiers of many famous musicians, but most, like me, are famous inside their living rooms. As an active musician still playing in bands, I am fluent in “guitar speak.” So, when you say, “Give me a little bit of hair when I dig in” or “I want that Vox chime,” I know how to translate that into valves, capacitors, resistors, and bias settings.
I am committed to doing things the right way. I never take shortcuts on my own gear, and I won’t take them on yours either. Your sound matters, and I am here to ensure you get the best sound and performance from your equipment.
